Crank Yankers Racing (CYR) was started by a group of friends to get started in amateur road racing with ChampCar Endurance Series. We wanted to race the famous road racing tracks in the United States and Canada. We have over 37 race weekends as a team since 2013. The team is owned by a husband and wife that rents out seats to amateur and professional drivers. The goal of the team on the race weekend is as follows: 1) be safe while on track 2) bring the car home in one piece 3) compete for the overall win 4) maximize all of the drivers' track time 5) have fun. We are a racing family and are willing to accept anyone on our team who shares the same goals and priorities we do.

E. Tyler has raced in over 45 races and has managed the team since 2012.

Evan has raced with CYR in multiple races and will be racing at NCM in 2020. Evan helped CYR to a win at Laguna Seca in 2016.

Team Co-Owner, Pit Boss, and Parts Getter

Sadie helps prep the car along with organizing items to get ready for the races. She also manages the pits at the races.

Allan has raced with CYR since 2012. He will be racing at Nelsons in 2020. He had a double win at Gateway with E. Tyler in 2016.

Jeremy Mizer

Rental Driver and Race Strategist

Rob raced with CYR in 2016 at WGI and Laguna Seca. With his help on strategy we were able to win at Laguna Seca. Rob will be driving with CYR at Road America in 2020. He also runs our sister team GMS.

Ben Schaut

Ben has raced with CYR at Gingerman and VIR. He will race with us at Indy in 2020. Ben also helps prep the car at his shop in Michigan when necessary.

Bryan has helped CYR in multiple races in the pits. He spent the offseason in 2018 helping the team rewire the entire car. He is the one we call when we run into electrical problems!

Thomas O'Rourke
Crew Chief

Thomas has helped CYR in the pits with fueling cars and tire changes over the past three years. He also helps repair and fix the car at the events when needed. Thomas will be helping out at all of our races in 2020.

Eric Pennington

Jasper has raced with CYR at Mid-Ohio where he helped the team to a podium finish. He also raced at Barber. Jasper competed in the PWC in his Honda Fit. He also competes on the dirt circuit during the year. He will be driving with CYR at Indy in 2020.

Jeremy first debuted with CYR at Gingerman in 2018. In 2020, he is running NCM, Indy, and Road America with us. He also runs his own race team with a Miata. Jeremy has competed in Spec Miata and ChampCar.

Tracy has been a part of the Bavarian Mustache Werks team for many years in ChampCar. He joined CYR at Indy in 2019. He has experience with autox, SCCA road racing and One Lap of America. As you can see Tracy likes blender margaritas and craft beer.

Eric has experience racing Spec E30 in NASA. He won the Great Lakes Region a couple of years ago. He is racing Indy with CYR in 2020. If you see our car turning fast laps and at speed, Eric is probably in the car.

Kevyn started racing with Top Fool Eliminator in ChampCar with a Subaru. Yes we bought the Subaru from him and Chris. Kevyn has since started Money Shift Racing (one of our sponsors) with Chris. They raced with us at Gingerman in 2019.
